March 2025 was always going to be a month with plenty of news as some things were due for completion and new things were about to start!
Just a few days into the month I was able to deliver the large commissioned painting that has been on my easel since January. This 100 x 70 cm painting on Museo Alu Frame canvas was a joy to paint and has come out so well. This commissioned painting is a personal composition for the clients, who requested a number of elements that mean something to them. My job was to put it all together in a painting that created a peaceful, sunlit natural landscape with the feeling of tranquility.
Here is, "Tranquil Walk".

I am happy to say that they were delighted with it and they have left me a lovely testimonial. Commissions are something I love to do and you can find out more about them here.

At the end of February I heard that I would be taking part in a local exhibition celebrating Spring in Manningtree, a lovely little town just over the border into Essex. The town sits on the Stour River estuary and is part of the Suffolk and Essex Coasts and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The show will be held at the gallery Navistitch and you can find these three framed nest paintings there until 12th April.
(Do check their opening times before you travel).
Continuing on the theme of exhibitions, I will have three paintings in the "Escape to the Coast" show at the VK Gallery soon. I will write about this again soon, but as a date for your diary it starts on 1st May.

This year I have also decided to return to teaching a few workshops in person, and I have one booked in April at the Stoke Bridge Workshops in Ipswich on 30th April. This workshop is about expressing oneself through colour and creative techniques used with watercolour. They are methods I use in my own creations and, as I have mentioned in the past, I do love to share these exciting techniques through teaching. I enjoy seeing people get more creative with their paints to produce something new and exciting. If this sounds appealing to you or someone you know, then sign up online at their booking page soon. Spaces are limited and at £35 for the morning session it is a bargain!
In other news, I am back at the easel again with a small commission, and some other works I need to get back to completing! I love my job ♥
Back soon with more news.
